I saw a small flock of these little sandpipers flitting from spot to spot in the wetland.
Thanks, Cody and ForestDragon! That was my first guess...I did look up bunches of shorebirds...but was never sure! ;-)
You can distinguish between Least vs Western Sandpiper which would be the other peep to consider by leg color. The Yellow Legs are your ID marks when considering these two peeps which both winter on the Western coast.
