Description:

large woodpecker, a male has a black bib and black facetious marks, and a red cap with black spots on its belly and sides also with yellow underwing and a yellowtail feathers

Habitat:

large forests, in the northern hemisphere. they nest about 3-4 eggs every year in April/May

Notes:

it is a male I saw it in mason Ohio
