Description:

Cap: Convex, dry, brown-gray, streaked and fibrous Gills: Attached to the stem, white, nearly distant Stipe: Finely silky, whitish, slightly bulbous base, absent rhizomorphs Flesh: white and unchanging when sliced

Habitat:

It was growing alone on rotting wood in a mostly deciduous forest.

Notes:

This is a medium-sized mushroom that often pops up after morel season has ended.
