Description:

A red and orange spiny-looking spider suspended in its strong web. The last photo is a detail of the web in the sunlight. This is an introduced species in Hawaii.

Habitat:

Tropical rainforest: seen in Rainbow Falls State Park in Hawaii.

Introduced species from India in the 80ies. Also called there Double Spotted Spiny Spider.
