Chief, I think this is not Dysdercus cingulatus (http://www.treknature.com/gallery/Asia/I...). Looks more like a Kapok Bug, Probergrothius nigricornis (https://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/14..., http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/148...) with known distribution including India (http://www.malaeng.com/blog/?p=11687). However there are still slight differences in antennae coloration and the length of the black line just below the thorax. I could not find a perfect match for Vincent's spotting.
