Noctuid Moth

Litoprosopus confligens

Description:

Orange or brown-colored moth about 2 cm long with small eye-spots on the hind wings. Family Noctuidae. Picture no. 4 was taken on 20 July 2014 in the same place.

Habitat:

Came to the parking lights of a shopping mall on the outskirts of the city, 2,200 meters.

Erebidae, Eulepidotinae, or Noctuidae, Catocalinae. Litoprosopus sp. and most probably Litoprosopus confligens. Need to be verified for Mexico!!
