A peacock farm is located in our neighborhood. They roam around, I hope people would be more aware of their dogs! I rescued a peacock being attacked by a hound! They are both safe now(:
The term Peafowl is the collective for the species, the males (as pictured) are Peacocks, females are Peahens.
Beautiful sighting, lovely birds. There is nothing that gets my goat up like people that refuse to take responsibility for their dogs, such a sad story but thankfully you were in the right place!
