Tawny coster

Description:

unknown butterfly spotted around 11:30 AM in the morning. Initially i thought it might be one of the members of tigers or leopards. But on closer look it looks different.. The Tawny Coster is a leathery, winged butterfly which belongs to the Nymphalidae or brush-footed butterfly family. It has a weak fluttery flight.

Habitat:

common in grassland and scrub habitats.
