Moustached Tiger Beetle

Ellipsoptera hirtilabris

Description:

I saw at least 6 of these on the trail. They blend in so well with the sugar sand, and they are so fast and small that it's hard to see them.

Habitat:

Sugar sand in a pine and oak forest
