Me too I almost did on a great-horned once!
Very good photo! I'd love to get my lenses on an owl sometime!
Gorgeous!
Thank you so much, Petricecat, as I have already stated in another post to you, please look for a few more photos of two other types of owls I have spotted this year. Clear, sharp images of my captures is what I demand of myself.
Thank you Albear1960, sharp, clear, high quailty captures is my goal, each and every time I make a spotting.

Eyes like marbles. Gorgeous!
what an amazing portrait!
Fyn Kynd, I hope someday you have the ability to use your stealth and get close enough to see these beautiful owls in the wild. They are often heard, but rarely seen, even by people who go out birding many days a year. I have seen them before in the wild, but this is the first time I had both the time, and the ability to get these captures.
Awesome shots!!! I'm so jealous! I've only heard this species.
Thanks all for the comments. I was truly blessed to both see these rarely seen owls, and then get some rather nice captures of them too.
What a gorgeous owl. Incredible!
