Shiny Jumping Spider

Cosmophasis thalassina

Description:

Cosmophasis thalassina- a male jumping spider on a leaf under the bright sun. Incredibly similar to C. umbratica which is not found in Borneo. It has a colorful body with bright reflective metallic colors. Body length about 9mm. They are common around the Sabah lowlands.

Habitat:

On plants around Balung River Eco Resort, Tawau, Sabah.

Congrats on finding a match.

I am very frustrated not to find a matching image on a quality/reliable site that matches my six cosmophasis folders! There always seem to be slight differences.
