Longhorned Beetle

Eburia stigmatica

Description:

Fairly large beetle. Reduced ivory markings on elytra (wing covers), and coarsely puncated pronotum (top of thorax) help separate this species from others in the Eburia genus.

Habitat:

Found at lights at night, on the side of a building. Surrounding landscape is an odd mix of prickly-pear, deciduous woodlands, and palmetto.

Notes:

The shorter antennae indicate this is a female specimen.
