Description:

This was found well inland and it lacks the black facial stripe of the specimen found in Sydney. Sunning on a log by the water but always alert and ready to disappear.

Thanks Argy Bee. I also spotted the Friarbird here. And dozens of monarchs. The larvae were pupating on the drive home. Will post spottings soon

Thanks Luis. Yes Maria, it is actually watching the water in case it decided to flee for safety if I got too close. Pic #5 is its water hole.
