kcurtain is correct..they are millipedes. If you look closely, you'll see their bodies are divided into segments. Each segment has TWO PAIRS of legs. aCentipedes have one pair of legs per segment. Millipedes are largely vegetarian, while centipedes are predators, and often venomous at that.

These are millipedes, not centipedes. They are probably in the genus Apheloria or Sigmoria, but there are many that look quite similar.
