Sharp-shinned Hawk (juvenile)

Accipiter striatus

Description:

This lovely Sharpie flew into the tree that all my feeders are in and started chasing a Blue Jay around the Rose bush and the tree (image #4) meanwhile our most frequent visitor (a Hairy Woodpecker) was hunkered under the suet feeder trying to stay hidden... it stayed in the same place for more than half an hour after the hawk had left.

Habitat:

Feeders on edge of field.
