Litoria infrafrenata

Description:

Also known as the Giant Tree Frog, Litoria infrafrenata is the world's largest tree frog. This species is native to the rainforests of northern Queensland, Australia, New Guinea, the Bismarck Islands and the Admiralty Islands. This frog is nocturnal.

Habitat:

Spotted on Norfolk Island pine (Araucaria heterophylla) outside house located in a large, semi-urban yard & garden, in close proximity to a disturbed patch of remnant lowland forest.

Notes:

Common at this location. But for a specimen that lives up to its moniker "giant" (adult) from the same area look here http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/713...

Thanks Karen and Luis! This one was not fully grown. The piece of blue wood in the last photo is 28 mm wide. Here's the largest one I've seen and even it may not be full-grown http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/713...
