Common Buzzard - Buse variable

Buteo buteo

This large bird of prey briefly ventured into the built area of my village before taking off again to cruise over the nearby fields. The Common Buzzard is found over most of Europe and its range extends into Asia.

The most abundant and widespread raptor in Switzerland, this shy buzzard remains discreet during nesting, nesting well hidden in forests.

Thanks DrNamgyalT.Sherpa! The first shot I took is actually the second one in the series. I could focus on the bird's eye while it perched. I then locked the focus and waited for the bird to fly off.

What a shot Daniele, the focus's right on the eye!

great spotting, SOTD well deserved@ A hearty congrats, danielle!

Congratulations on your SOTD Daniele, well deserved.

Thank you Tiz and António! Tiz, here's the trick, in this case at least: the second shot in the series is actually the first one I took: the bird was perching, motionless. From there I locked the focus on the eye before the bird took off.

Danièle when i comment it yesterday i have almost sure that this one deserved a SOTD,super cool my friend, congrats on one more SOTD and thanks for sharing your awesome spotting page
