Spotting

Description:

A common dragonfly seen in parks. Dark red all over with transparent tips of wings.

Habitat:

Near ponds and streams here in tropical Malaysia.

Notes:

I see this dragonfly all the time but I don't know the name of it! Picture taken at the Bukit Jalil Recreation Park. Learning about wildlife is not really part of Malaysia's education, so we know less about our own wildlife than many visitors to this country.
