Description:

2 feet. Golden yellow. Blooms in early spring. Grows in large clumps of shiny, rounded leaves finely toothed around their margins.

Habitat:

Wet woods, swamps, shallow marshes.

Notes:

Large clumps of these Marsh Marigold grow in the marshy areas of a little brook.

I haven't come across any marsh marigolds where I live, but a lot of lesser celandine, which looks pretty similar.
