Emerald Jumper

Paraphidippus aurantius (female)

Description:

Salticid of about 6mm body length. Light brown base colour with an iridescent green patch on cephalothorax and abdomen; on the abdomen, the green patch has black markings and white spots, margined by an orange line.

Habitat:

Found in 'El Cimatario', a national park in semi-arid area just outside the city. The rainy season is now in full swing and many animals are venturing out.
