Hi Jaymie, great spotting and welcome to Project Noah! This is not a grasshopper, it's a katydid (closely related to crickets). I'm not an expert but these pics of the Greenish Meadow Katydid - Conocephalus (Chloroxiphidion) upoluensis - look very similar.
