Pleurotoid Mushrooms

Crepidotus sp.

Description:

Small, pale caps with some brownish tint, and same with the gills. Semi-circular and directly attached to the tree with no stem. Very plentiful on this one tree.

Habitat:

Moss-covered Sitka Spruce tree in a typical Kodiak forest: mostly Sitka Spruce with a mossy understory and some salmonberries and ferns scattered around.
