Common flax or wild snapdragon (Latin Linaria vulgaris) is a herbaceous perennial plant, a species of the flax genus; now this genus is usually assigned to the Plantaginaceae family, but was previously placed in the Scrophulariaceae or Veronicaceae families. Popular names of the plant: wild flax, gills, dogs. In some areas, common toadflax is also known as sickle cutter.
