Horned bladderwort

Utricularia cornuta

An aquatic carnivorous plant that feeds on microscopic invertebrates. It manages to trap them in small pear-shaped sacs that open up when triggered by unsuspecting prey. They are later digested by enzymes and bacteria inside the sac that provide nutrients for the plant.

Found in wet prairies.
