Bald Eagle

Haliaeetus leucocephalus

Description:

The adults have mostly dark plumage with white feathers on their head and tail.

Habitat:

Found throughout much of North America, they are mostly found in Canada and Alaska during the summer, then the rest of the continent during winter.

Notes:

I know these aren't the best pictures, but it's the first eagle I've seen outside of Alaska when I was 10, so it was super exciting :) Seen in Buffalo Lake Wildlife Refuge.
