Mealybugs are insects in the family Pseudococcidae, unarmored scale insects found in moist, warm climates.
Urban garden.
This species belongs to Monophlebidae (giant scales).
This could be the Pink Hibiscus Mealybug, Maconellicoccus hirsutus (http://mrec.ifas.ufl.edu/lso/PinkMealybu...) with known distribution in the Philippines (http://www.cabi.org/dmpp/?loadmodule=rev...). I still have doubt though, pls verify.
Thanks KarenL! :)
Great spot!
