Hi Arne, thank you for taking the time to give me so much detailed information about these fascinating Leafhoppers. Going to the various links will keep me busy for a while, but I'm sure to learn a lot more. Yesterday, after I asked for your advice, I spent some time looking through Leafhopper pictures in https://www.nickybay.com/ and I saw three which appeared to be exactly like yours. They were labelled "Krisnini" and were numbered DSC_9801, DSC_3573 and DSC_3577. I am not very good at navigating through that website. So, I am not sure if there is any other information given or if it is only a site for selling photos, but the quality of the pictures is amazing. Thanks again. John B.

Hi John B, the only green leafhopper with red eyes I found in Asia and the Philippines was here https://www.inaturalist.org/taxa/603547-.... To me it looks like someone once placed it there without knowing much about the three genera below. Then others followed. So this may not be correct but I found this observation https://www.inaturalist.org/observations.... I found one also with genus name but the picture is not so good https://www.inaturalist.org/observations.... Your spotting has clear eyes and therefore you see the thin brown line behind the eyes. Both spotting has that brown line more or less in the face. Here is an observation with clear eyes https://www.inaturalist.org/observations.... So if you trust in this site you can edit your spotting to Krisna sp. https://www.inaturalist.org/observations.... I will wait a little until I find a better picture. If you look at the map you will find a few observations also in the Philippines.

Hi Arne, I would be grateful for your advice if you can spare a moment sometime when you are not too busy. I have been interested in your Leafhopper and have been comparing it to one that I spotted recently - https://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/72...
The particular point I am interested in is the red eyes. My Leafhopper and yours seem to be identical in every way, except for the eyes and I have been looking everywhere I can think of to get some information, but no luck so far. In my side views, the eyes have no redness that I can see, but in pics # 3, 4 & 5 (dorsal views) there is just a hint of red. My question is - do you think that mine is a different species, or is it just a question of the eyes changing colour, depending on the lighting conditions. Sorry to be a nuissance, but I would value your opinion. Thanks. John.
