Monophlebulus sp.
Description:
This bug has been stuck onto a thorn of the Bursaria bush.
The legs are pointed upwards.
Was this done by a bird?

Yep - it's tenderising nicely.
Its the bird's pantry. Storing food that it does not need immediately, like squirrels storing nuts.
The horrors of nature. I wonder why it would impale it and then not eat it?
