Bald eagle

Haliaeetus leucocephalus

Notes:

Spotted several times feeding on a deer carcass, and perched in the surrounding trees. Although I see them fairly regularly, this was my first opportunity to photograph a wild eagle. I wish that I had a lens that would reach out there a little better!

Me too Draezeth! I don't use the word majestic very often, but I can think of no better time than when describing these big, beautiful birds. Truly majestic. They are awesome to see in the wild!
