I agree with folicallyand travelingchez, its definitely an large orb weaver or the Nephila genus.

Definitely nephilia and there is enough of the side view for a good identification. It matches all my pilipes images. Check out some research and see what you think.

I was thinking it might be a golden orb spider but I couldn't get around the other side to see the markings.

Looks like nephila pilipes, golden orb weaving spider or giant wood spider. The location is exactly the same where I find them too.
