Yes, There is so much confusion in naming some species... I think it is Puntius mahecola. Experts please clarify...

There's a way to know which one - go back and catch the fish to have a positive ID.

Not sure but it looks like a Red-Tailed Hemiodus. Hemiodus gracilis
