Description:

The red-legged honeycreeper (Cyanerpes cyaneus) is a small songbird species in the tanager family (Thraupidae). The male is violet-blue with black wings and bright red legs. This female is quite subdued in colour.

Habitat:

Seen in the Rainforests of the World Exhibit at the California Academy of Sciences, Golden Gate Park, San Francisco.
