Passerina amoena
The Lazuli Bunting is a pretty small finch with bright blue upper parts, cinnamon-brown breast and sides and a white belly. Dark wings with white wing bar. They look similar to Western Bluebirds. First-year males look similar to mature males, but have a brownish wash. Females look like unstreaked sparrows: they are buffy-brown all over, with two narrow, white wing-bars on each wing.
The lazuli bunting forages on the ground, low in trees and bushes looking for seeds, insects, caterpillars to eat. Can be found in the western United States. I spotted this lazuli bunting sitting on a bluebird feeder in a field that overlooks the Shoshone River in Cody, Wyoming.

Thanks alvar. I had never seen one of these birds before. Had to look it up in my bird book.
