Clitocybe

Singerocybe clitocyboides

Description:

Attractive waxy pale brown mushrooms with central depression and caps upto 40 mm across. The older caps seemed to have deeper central depressions. The stipe were the same coclour as the cap but the gills were white and decurrent. The base of the stipes were covered with white mycelia.

Habitat:

Spotted on damp forest floor beneath eucalyptus trees. ( Narbethong State Forest).

Notes:

Genus has just had a name change from Clitocybe to Singerocybe.
