Great crested Grebe

Description:

Medium sized, but the largest in grebe family found in Old World, diving bird with elaborate neck and head decorations during summertime. Nest close to shore. Here in family.

Habitat:

Observed in one of the small lakes of a wooded city park, Lyon.
