Once you get away from Georgetown where the airport is, Guyana is a vast wilderness. We stayed at a few of the eco lodges the local Amerindians operated near their remote villages.

Great find Tom 15!. Yes, it looks like an owl catterpillar. Looking at the google map I thought it was on the sea because it was all green but in a close up it is just all covered by vegetation, no roads, no towns.Great!
