Branta canadensis
A wild goose with a distinct black neck, brown body, and white patches. They are gregarious, hanging out large flocks.
These guys are familiar characters around Toronto. Most of Canada, and parts of the States actually. But they are not as common around this time of the year.
There was probably around a hundred of them just hanging out on the golf course. Used to their fearless nature, I approached fairly close... but then as if on cue, they all just got up and flew away.
