Lichen

Description:

Looks like corals doesn't it? Lichens are composite organisms; an example of symbiosis between an alga and a fungus...although the lichen ultimately has its own characteristics distinct from both the alga and the fungus.

Habitat:

Kewsing Village, Sikkim, India.

Notes:

Lichens are sensitive and can only grow in unpolluted places. Kewzing is remote and forested.
