Description:

Under the Spiranthes genus for the spiral arrangements of its flowers

Habitat:

Was found in Belize in the Mountain Pine Ridge Forest Reserve. The area is specifically known as Baldy Beacon and is basically grasslands with little to no trees, hence the name. The elevation was a little over 1000 meters above sea level.

Notes:

Genus: Spiranthes According to the Checklist of Vascular plants of Belize by Michael Balick there is only one specie of Spiranthes found in Belize, the Spiranthes torta
