Nice spotting, Tammy! and Welcome to Project Noah You have two lichens. At the right it is a foliose lichen, maybe Flavoparmelia carperata. At the left it is more difficult, maybe Usnea florida or subfloridiana or maybe a cladonia. Hard to see! By the way, lichens are not plants, they are the association of a fungus with an algae. So they are not exactly a fungus, either. Since we have no specific class for them in PN you can choose either "Fungi" or "Other"
Fascinating, may be two species, I thought it a particularly fine specimen. I am not sure lichen would be included in plants or be a seperate catagory. Thank you.
I think you have at least a couple of species of lichen there. Towards the left side of your specimen, there appears to be some branching, which would distinguish another species from the flattened body of the majority you can see in this photograph.
