attractive brown moth with white spotting.

Notes:

This spring hundreds of Silver spotted tiger moth caterpillars emerged and were crawling all over the yard, the deck, everywhere. I've now seen up to 8 around the porch light at once. Last year? ZERO! I suspect that like their relative the wooly bear they require multiple summers to mature
