Description:

Super Family: Geometroidea Family: Geometridae Sub Family: Ennominae El género Sphacelodes está compuesto por 4 especies, distribuidas variadamente desde México a Bolivia, hasta Argentina. Todas tienen matices de color gris - café u oliva - café, con dos o tres tenues líneas transversales onduladas en las alas anteriores. Las hembras suelen tener colores más opacos. The genus Sphacelodes is comprised of 4 species, distributed variously from Mexico to Bolivia and Argentina. All have an olive-brown or greyish-brown ground colour with 2 or 3 faint wavy transverse lines on the forewing. Females are duller in colour.

Habitat:

Esta especie habita bosques húmedos y bosques nublados, a elevaciones entre los 400 a 1000 msnm. This species inhabits rainforest and cloudforest at elevations between about 400-1000 meters over sea level.

Notes:

Encontrada en trampas de luz para mariposas, aproximadamente a 1650 msnm, en bosque húmedo sub-tropical. Found on light traps for butterflies, 1650 meters over level sea approx. Sub Tropical Rainforest.
