Description:

A bushy perennial, which may grow up to 2m but is usually much smaller. Male and female flowers normally on the same plant, the male spikes pale greenish yellow, situated in the leaf axils; the female flowers terminal with a crown of bright red hair-like styles.

Habitat:

miombo woodlands, 1000m

Notes:

I spotted this at Namizimu forest reserve.
