Anomalous Nawab

Polyura agraria

Description:

Colorful butterfly with two pairs of tail spikes.

Habitat:

Adjacent to a small stream. Altitude 1000m.

Notes:

I found this butterfly mud puddling with three other, non-related butterflies. As I approached closer, it started to shuffle its rear wings. This made me think of Lycaenidae, as I had often observed this behavior in hairstreaks. But it was not to be.
