Maleagris gallopavo silvestris

Description:

A large game bird native to North America. They are omnivorous, eating anything from berries to frogs. The 5th photo shows it gobbling up a dandelion.

Habitat:

This one was waltzing around my neighborhood.

Notes:

Fun Fact: There were numerous attempts in the 1700s to introduce the turkey to the British Isles, but none of them succeeded.
