Sandhill Milkweed

Asclepias humistrata

Description:

Several of these were growing in my neighbor's yard and nowhere else. They are easily recognized by their large leaves with pink veins

Habitat:

The property is right next to scrubby forest. The yard is very similar to the habitat of the forest next to it; it has a few pine trees, bull nettles, and sandy soil
