Small-flowered White Aster

Symphyotrichum racemosum

Description:

The small flowered white aster has a smooth, slender, purple-tinged stem. The stem of the aster is very curvy. Also the head is about one third [8mm] wide. The aster plants are mostly coarse growing, leafy stemmed plants that are occasionally slightly woody at the base. The leaves of an aster are very greenie. Asters are a very pretty plant. Asters petals are very white. Asters are very common in my area. Habitat is in the borders of salt marshes and fields. Asters usually grow at the side of a hill. Asters bloom in the summer.
