Buff-tip Moth

Phalera bucephala

Description:

Brownish grey moth with silver streaks, at certain angles, looks like dried rolled up leaf or a cigar. When disturbed it opens the wings only quickly to roll them back to carefully tuck into a roll again. Has a pair of large brown eyes which are located low, touching the floor. There's another pair of smaller eye-like opaque structures exactly above those large eyes. Length 40.00mm.

Habitat:

Semi-urban building with forests around it.

Yes Gilma, the first two photos are with macro lens plus extension tubes, and are for an effort to show close up details of the subject, and rest are with Samsung GalaxyS3 for wider perspectives. Thanks.

Thanks tmvdh. If you check your spotting, by some co-incidence, I've already ticked it long time ago. Thanks anyway.
