Description:

Butterfly of the Nymphalidae family. Similar to M. Didyma but more heavily marked. The upperside black border is solid and uniform usually touching the post discal arches. The underside hindwing marginal spots are approximately triangular rather than rounded. The definitive feature is the presence of a small vein that closes the cell in the hindwing of the current species.

Pine tree forest. Parque Nacional de Sierra de Guadarrama
