Giant Shield Bug Nymph

Pygoplatys validus

Description:

This white bug is the immature form of the colorful Pygoplatys validus horned shield bug. As it grows, the wings will slowly develop, "horns" will start sprouting on it's thorax, and it's colors will appear. Although still immature, it is almost as large as the adult. Habitat:

On this plant (unknown plant) in Balung River Eco Resort, Tawau, Sabah. Endemic to Borneo.
